OMINOUS NIGHT: A BAIT STORY

Ominous Night is the first story in the BAIT series.

It is set in a world where mutants, known as Fionúir, lurk in the shadows and take innocent people's lives away because they can. Most people believe mutants are pure myth and lead their lives blissfully unaware.

Clare was one of those people, until she was brutally attacked and barely survived.

Now she's helping the Units Against Mutants eliminate the threat by any means possible, even if that means being used as the bait.

  LITTLE KUNOICHI

Mika Takei is not an average assassin; her skill for murder is only surpassed by her skill with more sensual arts. But when she fails to fulfill her latest mission, it costs her dearly.

Set in the not too distant future in the city of Naru, a criminal organization known as the MOB fights to gain total control of the city. The only thing standing in the MOB's way is the careful 'manipulations' of the assassins.

For the sake of the city's future, Mika must rekindle her own passion before returning the favor to those who set her up.

Please be aware that the content in this story is for adults only.

LITTLE KUNOICHI REVIEWS

Reviewed by Frost

Rating: 5 Swords

Little Kunoichi is one of those novellas that requires a fire extinguisher within easy reach of the reader. For those who like violence cleverly interspersed with sexuality that tears off the pages, Little Kunoichi is the current addiction of choice. Run to your nearest download outlet and grab up this baby; it won’t put you to sleep but it will make excellent bedtime reading.

Feisty but troubled heroine Mika Takei lives in an ugly future society which we all hope we never have to witness. Orphaned early and onto the streets, her rescuer Shiro Ito is a brothel owner. No, he doesn’t employ her in that role; instead, he trains Mika as a highly-skilled assassin to take on the MOB, the elite group ruling what used to be society.

Against a backdrop of routine ruled by fear in a 1984-type society, Mika’s puzzling sexuality and thirst for violence ensure she is one of the top available assassins-until for the first time she acts on her emotions and her world comes crashing around her.

I truly hope author Tania Walsh will publish more soon; Little Kunoichi is one hot and stunning number which immediately found its way to my Bedtime Reading Shelf.

Mika Takei is an assassin who works to stop a group that calls themselves the MOB. Mika has been an orphan since she was five years old when her parents were murdered. At thirteen she did her first hit and has never looked back. She is an exterminator trying to rid the world of these scum, the MOB who kill innocents and try to take over the world. Mika loves to inflict pain, loves the thrill of possibly being caught, and has an insane addiction to pain and sex.

The only person that matters in her life is her mentor and guardian Shiro. But Shiro is soon tortured and murdered because Mika refuses to commit a hit on another woman. As Mika suffers silently over the death of Shiro, another hit man, Irie Kosho tries to help her come to grips with Shiro’s death through very intense and fulfilling sex.

Mika eventually finds out that both she and Shiro have been set up because of a past hit she took part in. Now instead of using her skills at killing, she must learn to find and protect the one person who can keep her alive.

Little Kunoichi is a very graphic and sexually charged story. Mika is the ultimate anti-heroine who has no true conscience. She is scarred both inside and out, and yet, I found myself feeling for her and the pain she goes through on a daily basis. Tania Walsh has written an intriguing alternative universe with war and destruction. Mika’s need for sexual release, even in the most precarious of situations makes for an uncomfortable read, but overall this young woman has a way about her that will make any reader cheer for her triumph. There is no true happy ending but a sense that a character like Mika will continue to survive and perhaps find love.
